On Wednesday the 9th of May 2018 took place at the Fallen Heroes Monument in the city of Chania, the ceremony for the celebration of anniversary of the 2nd World War. After the end of the religious ceremony, laid wreaths took place during which the Commander of NAMFI, Brigadier General Kleanthis Karatsin laid a wreath on behalf of the Hellenic Armed Forces. A similar ceremony took place afterwards at the cemetery of St. Lucas and the Monument of the Fallen Russian Military Personnel with the participation of the local military and political authorities.
