From September 16 to 26, 2024, the exercise “SPARTAN ARROW 24” took place at the NATO Missile Firing Installation (NAMFI), featuring the participation of units from the German Air Force. The exercise included simultaneous anti-aircraft and anti-ballistic missile firings using the “PATRIOT” air defense system. It was conducted as part of a German evaluation under NATO criteria, with support from NAMFI’s multinational Evaluation Division. On Distinguished Visitors Day, the event was attended by Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardellis, representing the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS), along with Lieutenant General Lutz Kohlhaus and Colonel Dennis Van Dijk, representing the German and Dutch Armed Forces, respectively.
