From Friday 24 September to Friday 8 October 2021, a multinational formation composed by Guided-Missile Units of Greece, Germany, and the Netherlands, conducted antiaircraft and antiballistic firings under the name «MNTF–21» (Multinational Tactical Firing) in Crete, at NATO Missile Firing Installation.
During «MNTF–21», around 1.000 personnel of the three countries were trained and evaluated in countering air and ballistic threats with complete success. The Hellenic Armed Forces participated with PATRIOT and HAWK weapon systems, as well as with security personnel and Under Training (UT) evaluators.
During the firings, NAMFI was visited by the Chief of the Hellenic Tactical Air Force LT Gen Themistoklis BOUROLIAS, the Chief of the German Air Force LT Gen Ingo GERHARTZ, the Commander German Air Force Ground Forces B.Gen Volker SAMANNS, the Deputy Commander of the Royal Netherlands Army M. Gen R. J. JEULINK and a delegation of the Norwegian Armed Forces as observers
