Range Operations – Training & Physical Security Branch is responsible for planning and monitoring for the overall execution of live firings and evaluations [in cooperation with Tactical Firing Evaluation (TFE section)], as well as for the rest training firings and activities that take place in NAMFI.
In the context of its mission Range Operations – Training & Physical Security Branch is responsible for the following subject matters:
Planning and monitoring for the overall execution of live firings and evaluations [in cooperation with Tactical Firing Evaluation (TFE section)].
Handling issues that have to do with use of innovative weapon systems in NAMFI.
Production of proposals that apply to statutory documents and texts , that have to do with firings (Mutual Agreements, Technical Arrangements).
Direction and coordination of all matters that apply on physical protection of personnel – facilities and weapon systems
Submission of studies relating to new weapon systems, for use at NAMFI, for account of User Nations of NAMFI and for other entities
Cooperation with hosted firing Units and provision of all necessary operational support
Staffing of workstations at Range Control Builiding (RCB) of NAMFI, for the secure execution of all types of firings and activities at NAMFI.
