In order to obtain “absolute safety” during firings, two Radar Systems have been installed at NAMFI.

• The Air and Sea Surveillance Radar System 
  
   

This is composed of five air and sea surveillance radars with mission to detect all aircrafts and ships closing NAMFI’s Range Area.

• The Missile Tracking Radar System
  
   

It is composed of two missile tracking radars. These radars automatically track missiles of mainly medium and maximum range (for example PATRIOT, HAWK). In case of an abnormal situation the Safety Officer can destroy the missile while in flight.

• Missile Rewrdiny System
  
   

NAMFI also has a NAMSA Telemetry Station which is used for the reliability evaluation of certain missiles. In addition, in NAMFI’s Range area a Telemetry Station is installed by US NAVY, which upon request provides telemetry services to missiles firings of the Navy (PENGUIN, EXOCET, SEA SPARROW)
