NAMFI is under the administrative control of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS) and it consists a Brigade level formation. Concerning issues of training and evaluation of firings, it acts following the instructions-directions of SHAPE.

It is organized into Divisions and Independent Offices. Furthermore, it includes on a permanent basis User-Nations’ liaison offices and the Tactical Firing Evaluation (TFE) Section which has a multinational composition.

With the exception of Liaison officers and the Tactical Evaluation Section, NAMFI is manned by Hellenic Military Personnel of all three Branches of the Hellenic Armed Forces, as well as Civilian Personnel.
