User NAMFI Committee 2019 (UNAC 1/2019)
From the 2nd until the 4th of April 2019, the first Users NAMFI Annual Committee meeting for the year 2019, UNAC 1/2019, took place at Athens, Greece. The participants were delegated from the User Nations, SHAPE and NAMFI and they discussed several issues regarding the operation of NAMFI. The agenda covered planned activities, firings, infrastructure and upgrading of the services, marketing and promotion as well as NAMFI’s budget issues.
INVITATION FOR THE RELIGIOUS CELEBRATION OF ST. BARBARA, ARTILLERY PATRONESS SAINT
On Thuesday the 4th of December 2018, the religious celebration of St. Barbara, Artillery Patroness Saint, will take place at the homonym church, in NAMFI’s Cantonment Area with the participation of his eminence Metropolitan of Kydonias & Apokoronoy Mr. Damaskinos, NAMFI’s personnel and several guests from the military and municipal society of Chania. GREEK INFANTRY FIRINGS
On the 19th of September 2018, live firings with various infantry weapon systems (FAGOT, 23 mm twin gun, machine guns, mortars 60 mm and 81 mm) were executed in NAMFI, as part of the Operational Trainings from the units of the 5th Infantry Brigade (V Division of Crete) Area of Responsibility.
The firings were safely and successfully conducted
ITALIAN STINGER FIRINGS ΑΤ NAMFI 27th WEEK 2018
On Wednesday 4 of July 2018, Italian Army Air Defense Artillery Units conducted training firings in NAMFI. The firings were executed with the Stinger weapon system (MANPAD) against teleguided aerial targets provided by the Italian Army. 27 crews took part in this activity, successfully engaging the targets and firing a total of 27 Stinger missiles with a perfect success rate. The firings was attended by high ranked Italian Army’s Officers.
