Visit of the Permanent Representatives of the North Atlantic Council at NAMFI

On Wednesday October 22, 2025 a visit of the Permanent Representatives of the North Atlantic Council took place at the NATO Missile Firing Installation (NAMFI), with the purpose of observing live-fire exercises conducted by German Air Defence units using PATRIOT and STINGER systems.

NAMFI’s Commander, Major General Stergios Kazakis, presented the Installation’s capabilities, emphasizing its role in implementing Allied planning, NATO operational training and in applying the principles of the Integrated Air & Missile Defence Concept.

The visit highlighted Greece’s contribution in ensuring Allied Deterrence and Defense on NATO’s southeastern flank, strengthening the Greek presence and added value within the Alliance.
