Participation of NAMFI Basketball Team in the NSA Souda Bay Tournament in Chania

From 8 until 10 May 2026, a Basketball Tournament was held at the indoor Athletic Center facilities of the US Naval Support Activity (NSA), in Chania, named “Commanders Cup 2026”.

The basketball team of NATO Missile Firing Installation (NAMFI) participated, alongside with teams from US NSA Souda Bay, the Hellenic Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Forces, stationed in Crete.

The tournament concluded with great success. Its primary goals were to promote team spirit and sportsmanship, to foster fair play and to further strengthen the bonds and cooperation between the personnel of the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Forces, both on and off the court.
